We are excited to announced the program for If These Halls Could Talk; a region-wide season of contemporary arts events being held in seven community halls from the 17 September – 17 December 2016.

The line-up features international and locally renowned artists and creative teams who have each transformed one of the seven halls into an immersive site-specific work in response to the unique narrative of the hall and its community. The huge program touches on theatre, music, opera, visual arts and film to bring bold and captivating new works that will reactivate these historic spaces, giving new life and creating new memories for small halls and their communities.

For the next four months you are invited to take a tour of these halls to experience them now and go back into their past to witness the events and meet the people that have made them what they are today. Your guides are some of the country’s most exciting contemporary artists and performers who have created temporary site-specific works inspired by the unique narrative of each hall.
